Here
is another trick to add to your list of weight loss tricks..
Researchers at the Brazosport Memorial Hospital in Lake Jackson,
Texas, asked seven women to eat every meal slowly, to chew thoroughly
and to stop eating once their food no longer tasted as mouthwatering
as it did when they took their first bite. Six other women were told
to chew and eat slowly, but they were not instructed to scrutinize
their taste buds. After a year, the first group of women lost an
average of nine pounds, and those in the control group gained about
three. Researchers speculated that the body intuitively knows how many
calories it needs and will dampen your taste buds once you've had
enough. Although the study was small and more research needs to be
done to confirm these results. |
