Well, Dianne fit the bill perfectly.  Dianne’s educational background in exercise physiology (with an emphasis in biomechanics) and the fact that she was NASM certified gave me the confidence that she knew what she was talking about.  We spent a great deal of time discussing what my fitness and lifestyle goals were and how we could achieve them given my genetics, health and current level of physical “fitness.” I appreciated Dianne’s realistic approach as to what could be achieved and the “team mentality” that she instilled in me immediately….In order for me to achieve my goals, it was both our responsibilities to do our part.  Taking responsibility for my life and wellness can be a very empowering experience and Dianne is a phenomenal “cheerleader” and motivator. Dianne is able to motivate in a way that can only be done by those who are truly passionate about their job…and Dianne is a living example of someone who not only loves her job but also “practices what she preaches.”

 

Being a physician, I have a strong understanding of medicine and the body.  However, I am not a personal trainer nor do I have expertise in the incorporation of all the aspects involved with personal training to achieve my goals.  Dianne is a natural teacher and I especially love the fact that Dianne can explain to me in detail about WHY I am doing the specific exercise, what the expected results are and why it is the most efficient way to perform it in addition to the dramatic effect that my nutritional/eating habits affect my workouts and overall success (or failure) in achieving my desired goals.  While Dianne has a solid educational foundation, she also has the unique ability to explain things in a manner that is easy to understand.  Dianne is an excellent teacher and with an enthusiasm that is nothing short of contagious, she makes working out an enjoyable experience.

 

Dianne’s belief that dieting is a setup for long-term failure makes perfect sense.  Her “Just say no to dieting” program emphasizes healthy eating habits that are realistic and SUSTAINABLE. Dianne developed an eating program that was flexible and incorporated the foods that I enjoy eating.  She also took the time to educate me on how my current eating habits were hindering the achievement of my lifestyle goals and how, with a bit of discipline, I could still eat much of what I still enjoyed, while achieving my goals. Most importantly, Dianne’s “Just say no to dieting” program is based on sound nutritional concepts that enable one to fulfill all their nutritional requirements in a way that is enjoyable and a natural way to eat.  Unlike many fad diets, Dianne’s program is a sustainable lifestyle change that, in conjunction with a good fitness program, will help to develop and maintain a healthy body, both inside and out.  In addition to a fantastic looking body, the greatest side-effects are an improvement in energy, self-esteem and overall psychological well being….It certainly made sense to me and I am seeing the results in the way I look and the way I feel. Professionally speaking, Dianne is a well educated, competent and an exceptional personal trainer and lifestyle coach. On a personal level, Dianne is just plain fantastic!—passionate, intelligent, fun, enthusiastic and a living example that her program works.
