post-exercise eating Carbohydrates crucial in muscle recovery(AP)
--
Carbohydrates may be
considered evil in this age of the low-carb diet revolution, but the nutrient
plays an important role in helping athletes recover from strenuous exercise.
Two
decades of research have shown that consuming carbs after a hard workout
rebuilds worn muscles and primes the body for the next training.
Failure to eat the right food after exercise -- or worse -- skipping the

Stretching
Scientifically - The latest Scientific Studies and Research
Findings. -

Don't Live Like A Statue -
According to the Centers for Disease Control, approximately 90 percent of
American adults are so sedentary they could almost be reclassified as
statues. It should therefore
come as no surprise that obesity has increased by almost 70 percent in the
past 10 years (12-20 percent).

Americans Are Getting Fatter & Fatter
-
CHICAGO (AP) -
Americans are not just getting fatter, they are ballooning to extremely
obese proportions at an alarming rate. The number of extremely
obese American adults -- those who are at least 100 pounds overweight --
has quadrupled since the 1980s to about 4 million. That works out to
about 1 in every 50 adults.
