Calcium does a Body Good!

The calcium crisis is occurring in our country because the average American adult consumes only 500-700 mg. of calcium daily, while the newest Dietary References Intakes (DRIs) calls for 1000-1300mg daily.

Ninety-nine percent of the body’s calcium is stored in the bones and teeth. The remaining one percent is in your blood and soft tissues and is essential for life and health. Without this tiny one percent of calcium, your muscles (heart included) would not contract correctly, your blood would not clot, and your nerves would not carry messages.

Adequate calcium in your diet protects the calcium in your bones and keeps them strong. However, if you do not get enough calcium in your diet your body automatically steals it from your bones.

Some foods that are calcium rich are:

  • Milk
  • Greens
  • Mustard
  • Collard
  • Salmon
  • Sardines
  • Enriched tofu
  • Fortified orange juice
  • Molasses
  • Almonds
  • Dried beans
  • Yogurt

Keep in mind, it takes four servings of these foods DAILY to complete your body’s requirements for calcium. Clinical evidence supports the use of calcium citrate to help prevent bone loss. Tests show that it is much better absorbed than the most commonly used form of calcium.

The Journal of Clinical Pharmacology conducted a study that states calcium citrate is 2.5 times more bio available (easier for the body to absorb) than calcium carbonate.

CAL/MAG 100 has 1000mg of calcium citrate in a single serving!

Biometics liquid nutrition is the best supplement solution for maximum absorption of the vital nutrients your body needs everyday. Click here to find out how to improve your energy level now!!
